Here's the reason why I've been a non-beading hermit for such a long time...

Bubi helping his mom with jewelry pictures.

I've been too busy saving my precious baby's life!
As some of you may know, about a year ago, Bubi lost his appetite and with it a lot of his weight.
Blood test, ultrasound and check up showed nothing, so the Vet decided to try a medicine to cure gastritis (Bubi was vomiting and regurgitating too often to be normal).
During that time, it took me about 2 and 1/2 to 3 hours to get him to eat each of his two meals.
After the cure was over, I started to give him a vitamines paste and a ma...

Atolls Necklace days 11 to 17

Oooops...where did the time go?
I haven't been beading at all for the past 3 weeks, so this is how Atolls looks like with just an additional week of work. It doesn't look like much, but all the sand parts are 3D, so it's a bit slow going.
It would have probably been much easier and faster to do this project in bead embroidery, rather than peyote, but I'm famous for getting myself in trouble with my own hands. ;-)
Hopefully the next update will not take me this long!

Peyote for heavens sake. What are you punishing yourself for!!! What have you been doing that we do not know about?

This will be a stunner when it is finished. I can't handle having UFO's this would kill me.

Yep, peyote and most of the beads are 11/0s! What was I thinking? ;-)
I hate having UFOs and I usually work on one project at a time, but this project will have to wait because I'm under too much stress and depression to have the concentration it requires.
I just started to work on a quadruple spiral and hopefully I'll be able to get a pic and finally update this blog within the next couple of days.

Alors là waouh,j'admire,voilà à peu présce que j'aurai aimé faire quand j'ai fait mon collier avec mes agates,depuis je l'ai défait hihih,c'est vraiment excellent de plus en peyote je trouve cela une bonne idée car ce sera je pense moins rigide qu'un brodé,c'est bête que tu ne puisses pas entendre mes exclamations,tu rougirais hihhih,bises,mes meilleurs voeux pour 2010,à bientôt

Atolls Necklace days 7 to 10

Here's a quick update on my Atolls necklace.
I finished all the bezeling and figured out how to make a miniature palm tree. Hehehe, that thing is tiny! ;-)

I'm using my Dad's PC 'cause mine has been messed up badly by a damn virus since last Monday and I can't get it fixed at least until next Wednesday.
If I'm going to be late replying to messages and emails, you know why. Sorry!

Atolls Necklace days 1 to 6

Atolls necklace sketch

It's time again for a big step by step project!
I'm probably going to get myself in trouble with this necklace, as I can already see that it's not going to be easy to achieve the results I'm wishing for, but I had to give it a shot. ;-)

I don't usually draw a sketch for my necklaces, but this time I thought it might have been a good idea.
The colors of the water and sand around the atolls and around the islands are shading in an opposite way, so hopefully with the sketch I will not mes...
